Building my RV-8: the video
This is just a small sample of the thousands of photos taken during the construction of my RV-8 aircraft. I plan to write a series of posts regarding the milestones and notable encounters during the build. Check back for those.
For now here’s the video set to music by Tommy Emmanuel, who’s an awesome guitarist by the way. You’ll see a lot of pictures of my kids in there too, since their involvement really made it the most fun. There are plenty of days when I was solo working on the airplane.

How fun is that! I’m impressed with all you homebuilders out there. I think mine would end up looking like a 2×4 with wings! 😉

Haha! Well these modern kits are pretty good. Almost anyone could do it if they set their mind to it.

Excellent work. Excellent video. Do write more. The thrill of building and then flying your own airplane must be enormous. Great too that your family helped! What a sense of accomplishment it must have given all of you. Congratulations.
